Restoration Ministries International

Reaching People, Meeting Needs, Changing Lives

Our Beginnings

Dr. David Durant, J.P.

Senator, Apostle

Prophet David Durant is the founder and Senior Pastor of Restoration Ministries International, a dynamic church located in the beautiful Island of Barbados.
Called into the family of God in 1975 whilst living in Guyana, a young David Durant pursued God with a passion. This passion led him to commence preparation for the pastoral ministry. During his time at Bible School, he served as Youth Leader, Deacon and also on the national youth committee of the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches.

Inspired by a word from God to pioneer a ministry in Barbados, Prophet Durant returned to his homeland in 1979 to fulfill the vision. He married Joy Grant of Guyana in 1980 and together they pastor a church in a rural area of Barbados for four years before God led them to establish Restoration Ministries. Today, Restoration Ministries is a powerful prophetic and apostolic ministry with a strong worship mandate and the evidence of the operation of the five-fold ministry.

Prophet Durant serves on various national and regional committees. He presently presides over the International Association of Ministers and he is also a founding member of the National Reformation Strategic Partnership of Barbados. Both groups bring Pastors from various denominations together for prayer, fellowship and encouragement. Apostle Durant is also on the committee of the Caribbean Region Arm of International Christian Leaders Connection Network.

He has become a spiritual father and mentor to many ministers, with Restoration Ministries International  giving covering to several independent Ministries in Barbados, Antigua and Trinidad. His weekly radio program 'Restoration' is an inspiration to many persons across the nation and region at large.
Prophet Durant travels extensively flowing in a prophetic psalmist anointing ministering in conferences, seminars and crusades throughout the Caribbean, USA, United Kingdom, Suriname and Guyana.

Rev. Joy Durant
Senior Pastor

Born in a small village in Georgetown, Guyana, Joy Grant entered the world not knowing the mark she would have on it. She was the fourth of twelve children born to Ethelene & Vivian Grant. At seven years of age, young Joy accepted Christ into her life, was baptized with the Holy Spirit by the age of nine and became involved in the ministry at Heavenly Light Temple Full Gospel Assembly Church.

Pioneering ministry is a part of Pastor Joy’s destiny. She assisted in the pioneering work at Meadow Brook Full Gospel Church before migrating to Barbados to be married to Pastor David  who she had met in Guyana.

Together they worked in two (2) small churches and later founded Revival Assembly which became Restoration Ministries.

Pastor Joy has a strong prophetic/teaching call upon her life and flows in the area of deliverance. She also ministers at Women’s conferences, prayer breakfasts and retreats and has a heart for the growth and development of young believers.

Apostle Durant and his wife Pastor Joy are the proud parents of three sons, David Jr. Jonathan and Timothy. All three are active members of the ministry functioning in various capacities.
